Frequently asked questions

What a session is like, where to find me, how to pay, and how often to come.

Questions

What happens during a session, and what should I wear?

We start with a few minutes talking about what is bothering you and what you want out of the session.

You undress to your comfort level and lie under a sheet and blanket. You stay draped the whole time, and only the area being worked on is uncovered. If you would rather stay clothed, say so and we will work around it.

Where are you located?

1641 Oak St. Eugene, Oregon.

There is a paid parking lot attached to the building and free street parking in front of the building.

The door code will be sent prior to your visit.

I am also available to come to your location. For travel within the greater Eugene/Springfield area there is a $25 travel fee plus $1.25 per mile, with a one hour minimum.

Travel to surrounding cities on a case by case basis. Please note that there will be an additional travel fee that will be dependent on your location.

What are your business hours?

  • Sunday11am - 4pm
  • Monday8am - 12pm
  • Tuesday8am - 12pm
  • Wednesday7am - 10pm
  • Thursday9am - 3pm
  • Friday9am - 4pm
  • Saturday11am - 4pm

What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept Cash, Venmo, Credit Card, FSA

Do you take insurance?

No, I do not bill insurance. Payment is due at the session, and I take cash, Venmo, credit card and FSA.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please give at least 24 hours' notice to change or cancel. With less than 24 hours' notice the session is charged at half its cost.

How often should I come?

It depends on what you are dealing with. For a specific injury or a stubborn pattern, weekly or every other week for a few sessions gets more done than the same number spread across several months.

For general maintenance and stress, once a month suits most people. We can work out what makes sense for you at your first visit.

What is Active Release Technique?

Active Release Technique, or ART, combines precise pressure with guided movement: I hold a point of tension while you move the limb through its range, which reaches adhesions that static pressure alone will not.

It suits overuse injuries and restricted range of motion. It is one of several approaches I draw on, and you can read about the rest on the modalities page.

Where can I leave a review?

I accept reviews on:

  • Google

Client reviews

“I’ve been seeing Peyton frequently since last Spring. Her style is very much in line with what I am seeking in a regular masseur. Being an athlete, I am perpetually sore and always looking to have my muscles restored. I really appreciate her use of ART in our sessions as it’s a rare modality and works wonders on this bod. I would recommend Peyton to anyone looking for a great massage, athlete or otherwise!”

“I've been to several massage therapists in Eugene and none of them could get at the arm, shoulder and hand pain I get from my line of work. Peyton has figured out what to do and her work helps immensely. Highly recommended!”
